Message from NDHA Trustee/Scholarship Committee Chair:
I would like to extend a warm hello to all of our members, old and new. As we know, our organization is nothing without committed members.
Our major project is to offer scholarships each year to dental hygiene students, particularly African American. With your help by renewing your membership and encouraging other hygienists to join our organization, we will accomplish our goals. We want to do our part in helping when possible.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our annual meeting.

TO APPLY FOR NDHA ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP:
Print the entire application and attach the following:
Eligibility requirements:
1. GPA of 2.5 or greater
2. Must be dental hygiene student in good standing
3. United States citizenship/permanent resident status required
Application Process - Submit:
4. NDHA student membership - verification can be copy of card, letter from NDHA or canceled check. Student Membership is $35 to be sent with membership application to NDHA Treasurer - (membership application at NDHA website)
5. Copy of your official sealed transcript
6. Print Verification of Enrollment Form signed by Registrar/Office of Dean of Students - (form in scholarship application)
7. Two letters of recommendations:
a. One from dental hygiene faculty
b. One from non-family/personal reference
8. Recent passport type photo
9. Financial need - (form in scholarship application)
10. Statement of leadership skills and evidence of community service
11. Briefly state how you will promote the profession of dental hygiene, the NDHA Organization and that you will try to attend/ will attend the NDHA Annual Session President's Breakfast held on Sunday morning - (the year you apply)
Failure to return completed application by deadline date will result in rejection of your entire application Deadline Date: March 15
